Wanted Niger Delta Oil Bunker Arrested After 5 Years

The Nigerian Navy has seized a suspected "famous" militant wanted since 2011 and involved in pipeline vandalism, ocean theft and unlawful oil bunkering.

The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Delta, striving to defend the country's regional waters and outskirts against beach front instability, illicit bunkering, theft and pipeline vandalism, declared the capture on Thursday.

Tending to columnists at the NNS base camp in Warri Delta State, Commander Jik Dzunve said NNS Delta authorities would keep on checking the exercises of militants in the oil-rich district.

Oil bunkering has long turned into a difficult issue in Niger Delta, with Nigeria losing enormous whole at a period that raw petroleum cost has dropped radically.
