VidScoop Blog is Nigeria's First Video News Blog Where You Get Information And Visuals To Back Up It's Credibility, due to the nature and drive behind our articles, it has become extremely difficult to cover so many news stories at a time, so we have decided that you can help us, how about a little way of making some extra cash for yourself, just by using the camera of your phone or a camcorder? funny right? OK here is a breakdown of how it works.

You see a news worthy story, you take out your phone and get some shots of the event, upload it on (http://datafilehost.com) or any file hosting website, send the link to us via email (Martinsdmorris@gmail.com or gisted1@gmail.com), and we in return, pay you for it.

It does come with certain terms and conditions

  1- You will have to give a full account of what ever occurred in the clip by writing.

2- Your writing must be excellent and easy to read for English readers, so do not submit if you are not affluent in English language.

3- Please only send one article/video link or article idea per email.Your subject line should always be the proposed article title, and you should always include your PayPal address/Bank account details (Account No, Account Name, Bank Name) at the end of your email. All submissions should be addressed to martinsdmorris@gmail.com or gisted1@gmail.com Attachments should be in .doc, .docx or .rtf format.

4- Please carefully proofread your article before submission. The more simple errors you can catch before submission, (e.g. using the wrong form of there / their / they’re) the happier we will be.It’s helpful to read your draft out loud. You might feel a bit ridiculous, but you’ll catch errors and spot sections that sound awkward. Remember, when a reader reads your article that’s how they're reading it in their head.

5- Payments can take from 2 days to a week from the day of acceptance, for the transaction to be complete, so have patience.

6- Do not reword your source and claim it as your own writing. If you’re taking another writer’s phrasing and re-arranging it, that’s plagiarism. So don’t do that.

7- No other media outfit should get hold of your copy of the information before us, we should be the first to report it, viral contents are not paid for, so try as much as possible to keep your article /video from public eyes.

8- We pay from N100, upwards, how much we pay you will depend on your video quality, and the relevance /prominence of the party involved.

How long does it take to know if your article was accepted?

  Usually within 2-3 days.

Will I know if my article is rejected?

  We will try inform you, unless you ignored our guidelines. That reduces your chance of a reply. So follow the guidelines, please. At times we may be very brief with our rejection; this is unfortunate but with so many submissions, we can't critique each one. If we feel the article is almost there, we will ask for a revision. If we feel you have what it takes, but the article isn’t a good fit, we'll ask you to submit something else.

Is there a limit in submission?

No limit, but we only buy 10-20 per month at this time.
